RSIC-DC04 Heavy Duty Double Deflection Spring Isolator
This is the RSIC-1 Spring Isolator with the RSIC-DC04 substituted for the RSIC-1. The market for these spring Isolators is the Kinetics Noise Control ICW market. The RSIC-DC04-SI can be spaced at 48″ × 48″ or 48″ × 96″ while supporting two (2) layers of 5/8″ Gypsum board. With greater spacing the cost per square foot is cut by up to 75% while providing the noise control benefits of Both a Spring and the RSIC Rubber.
Currently available in 5, 10, 20, and 40 lb options with 1″ deflection. 80 lb and 160 lb coming soon.
The 40# spring can support two layers of 5/8″ Fire Code C with the Springs spaced at 4′ × 2′ (2.5# × 2 layers × 8 Sq. Ft. = 40 pounds)
The 80# spring can support two layers of 5/8″ Fire Code C with the Springs spaced at 4′ × 4′ (2.5# × 2 layers × 16 Sq. Ft. = 80 pounds)
The 160 pound spring can support double the load or double the distance with a heavy duty Carrier Channel such as 3-5/8″ × 20 gauge or heavier steel stud the spring can be at 4′ × 8′ OC
